New routes to engineering
The need for engineers who are both qualified and professionally registered is in the ascendancy. This article examines the options available for today's prospective engineers.
Career opportunities for qualified engineers in building services have never been so good. However, academic qualifications alone are not sufficient, and many employers require their more senior staff to have professional registration, usually as incorporated or chartered engineer (IEng, CEng). This article describes how to become an incorporated or chartered engineer, the difference between these two levels of registration and what the new courses known as matching sections are.
