Keeping a client’s offices Covid-19 safe

Focused on ensuring their workplace is as Covid 19 safe as possible, one of our clients recently asked us to audit their offices in line with the government’s guidance on Covid 19 and its relevance to ventilation and air conditioning services (this guidance refers to more detailed guidance from both CIBSE and BESA Group). As a diligent employer they were keen to ensure that their office accommodation was suitable for use by their employees as they return to the office.

FHP Engineering Services Solutions offered to review the ventilation and air conditioning services with respect to current good practice. This included a detailed site investigation including a survey of the roof void.

The survey output included recommendations on alterations and improvements to the existing systems as well as more stringent maintenance going forward.

This has led to a tender package being produced for the improvement works which will lead to a fully compliant ventilation system being installed. The ultimate output being that the employees can be confident that their working environment will be a compliant and safer environment, minimising the risks of contracting Covid 19.
